David Downton nació en el sur de Inglaterra en 1959. Estudió en Canterbury y Wolverhampton. En 1984 se trasladó a Brighton donde comenzó su carrera en la ilustración. En 1996, el Financial Times le encargó dibujar los espectáculos de alta costura y desde entonces se ha conocido como ilustrador de moda. Ha trabajado para Tiffany, Harrods, Chanel, Dior, Vogue, Harpers Bazaar, etc. En 1998 trabajó en los retratos de algunas de las mujeres más hermosas del mundo, Catherine Deneuve, Linda Evangelista, Iman, Paloma Picasso, etc.
Es profesor visitante en la London College of Fashion y en el año 2009 recibió un doctorado Honory de la Academy of Art University de San Francisco.

I like those silver sequins touch in the last dresses. But I like th art work more on this post, black white and red, so yummi, the 1st photo would look great on a wall near a bar! And that lilac purple woman with a cherry in the mouth is my fave! Have a lovely weekend dear : )
