Nicoletta Ceccoli una singular ilustradora de San Marino (1973) de gran prestigio internacional, formada en el Instituto de Arte de Urbino. Sus ilustraciones están llenas de ternura y un cierto aire de tristeza y melancolía. Su estilo es fácil de reconocer por sus niñas con cabeza desproporcionada respecto al cuerpo y el uso de colores pastel suaves creando imágenes de sueño. Ha obtenido varios premios internacionales, como el premio Andersen-Baia delle Favole 2001, el premio a la excelencia otorgado por la publicación Communication Art y la medalla de plata de la Sociedad de Ilustradores de NY en 2006.
